Helping clinicians turn good practice into publishable evidence
CLEAR exists because many thoughtful, evidence-informed clinicians are doing excellent work in everyday practice, yet very little of that work makes its way into the published literature.
The gap between clinical practice and academic publishing can feel enormous. Most clinicians are not short on insight, experience, or meaningful patient stories. They are short on time, structure, support, and a clear pathway from “this case might be worth sharing” to “this is ready to submit.”
CLEAR is designed to help bridge that gap.
The project supports community-based allied health clinicians to develop publishable case reports from real clinical practice. The focus is not simply on sharing interesting clinical stories, but on connecting those stories with the best available evidence, reporting clinical reasoning transparently, and critically examining whether the care provided is supported by high-quality research.
CLEAR is not about turning clinicians into academics. Nor is it about acting as a gatekeeper for what clinicians are allowed to think or do. It is about creating a structured, supportive process for clinicians willing to engage seriously with evidence quality, clinical reasoning, and transparent reporting.
At its heart, CLEAR is about making careful, evidence-informed clinical reasoning more visible.
